Artist Statement:

I’ve always been fascinated in how people view & project themselves. Mobile media allows me new ways to explore this. #selfie #privacy

Process:

The following images we’re created by scraping the image blogging website tumblr.com for a specific #hashtag. Before beginning the process I would give myself a defined set of rules for each image; for instance, the camera had to be in the shot or not. After gathering the images I began my curation process where the images were evaluated to ensure that the images were authentic and there were no ulterior motives. Finally I composited the images together so that each image flows and relates to the others; each complimenting and informing the next.

These images were created for the #INTERFF show but were not displayed.
